"The Euclideans"

The Euclideans is a group, organized through the Arts of Liberty Project, that meets weekly to study Euclid's Elements in its entirety, faithful to the text and to the mathematical principles and unity presented. The purposes of the weekly meetings are to explore mathematical truth with Euclid; to wonder with him at the beauty, clarity, and order of the Elements; and to seek ways of making geometry as a liberal art and science an integral part of the classical curriculum.

The Euclideans is a first step in the Arts of Liberty Project's response to the contemporary underdevelopment of the quadrivium, both in classical and non-classical schools. Ultimately, the Arts of Liberty Project aims to develop a mathematics and natural science for K-12 classical schools that is historically informed, philosophically grounded, and mathematically and scientifically sound.
